Amazon Prime Day Is Over. Now What? Check Out Vipon.

Vipon for Amazon Deals? Here's Our Honest Review.

Amazon Prime Day is a day celebrated by many. It’s probably loathed by a few. I’m thinking FedEx and UPS drivers, (considering that last year Amazon shipped 5 billion items),  as well as the spouse or SO that sees the 20 boxes arrive at the door doing quick math in their head of rough cost. But I loved it. When else would I get a grip strengthener? Will I use it? That’s not the point. It was Prime Day. Now that the euphoria of that special day is over, we have to find deals the old fashion way. Obviously Amazon Daily Deals or Lightning Deals is a good way to do that, but you probably already know about that. I discovered something recently. Have you heard of Vipon? Well if you haven’t, it might become your new best friend.

What is Vipon?

Vipon is an app that offers heavily discounted and sometimes even free coupons (although those deals are few and far between) for Amazon products. What I like about  Vipon is that you don’t purchase through the app. It gives you the coupon code. That means you don’t have to provide them with any sensitive information. * I have a disclaimer at the bottom of this post, but we aren't getting paid for this review. I just love this app and think you will too!

How does it work?

1. Getting Started

To get started, download the app or go to Vipon and click “Sign Up”. You can sign up with your Facebook account, Google account, or just with an email address. Remember this isn’t your Amazon login information.

2. Find Deals

Much like Prime Day, it can be a bit overwhelming. There are just so many items and most of it is stuff I would never even think to buy.

I typically will use the Vipon app if I have a specific item that I’m looking for. Sometimes I just browse but it CAN be overwhelming. Recently, I needed a foldable camping chair. I pulled up the app, and started searching. I’ve learned that the search tool can be a little weird so I typically use the autofill search terms the app suggests.

The KingCamp Folding Camp Chair caught my eye at only $14.99 and 50% off so I clicked on it.

From there I always click on the open in Amazon. I like to double check that first, it is Amazon Prime (then I know it’s free shipping and returns), and second, I definitely read the reviews. 4 stars out of 5 with 17 reviews. Not too bad and with the Vipon coupon code it will only be $14.37. I’m not crazy about the color, but the chair is a last minute need for this weekend so it will do the trick!

3. Apply Coupon Code

Now it’s time to get the deal. Getting the deal is easy. Go back to the app and just click on Get Coupon and Go to Amazon. This will take you right to the product where you can add it to the cart.

Once you are in your cart, just go down to Enter code or scan gift card and paste the coupon code.

4. Get That Deal and Check Out!

The title of this step says it all! As you can see my order total with everything is $14.37 now that the coupon code is applied.

5. Optional - Leave a Review

The point of Vipon, according to them, is to help sellers promote their products and get reviews. Because of this, not everything is going to be a win. Unlike most apps, whether you want to leave a review is totally up to you. I’ve purchased a lot of items so far and I would say that especially for the price, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I’ve also left a few reviews. Most good, some not as good, but always honest.

Conclusion

That’s pretty much it. Honestly, it has been one of the easiest coupon apps I’ve used for Amazon. Like a lot of things on Amazon, just because it looks like a good deal doesn’t mean it always is. I always still shop around and see if there’s a better deal. I also always use the website camelcamelcamel.com to track historical prices. I’d love to hear about your experience. Have you used Vipon before? Is there a better app or website that you use?
